CSBG Scholarship
The Community Service Block Grant Scholarship is designed to help low-income
DeKalb County residents pay for post-secondary educational expenses. Applications
are available beginning late January/early February and are due mid-June for the
following fall and spring semesters.
The basic qualifications to be eligible* for a CSBG Scholarship are:

Be a permanent resident of DeKalb County.

Be a member of a household whose gross income does not exceed 125% of the poverty level (see income guidelines).

Be enrolled or accepted at an Illinois accredited higher educational, vocational, or occupational training institution toward an undergraduate degree or certification.
*This is a competitive scholarship. Not all applicants who are eligible will be chosen as a recipient. The Scholarship Committee of the CSBG Administrative Board will determine the recipients and forward their recommendations to the full board.
The 2018 CSBG Scholarship application period is now closed. Check back mid to late January 2019 for the 2019 application.
